Original era manufacture. Beautifully hand carved examples of WWI Trench Art. The large piece stands 8 inches in height, with carved tulips on one side, and on the other, the German phrase, Andenken An, In Memory Of. The smaller of the two is 3.5 inches in height with a wooden base, it features a scroll work top with a floraldesign. These were very likely made byGerman POW's and sold or traded for extra food or tobacco. The quality of the carving is quite good.
