Original period manufacture. Attractive patriotic cover, with an Army eagle and MKI panzer in metal. Inside are 181 original black and white photographs, all with some military content. In addition, a cover letter written in 2003, by a GI stationed in Germany in 1988, who purchased this album from the hands of the former Panzer NCO who assembled it. The letter gives interesting detail regarding the German Veteran's service during the war,  which was primarily on the Eastern Front. The veteran also described the situation in Nemmersdorf Germany after its retaking from the Soviets in October 1944.Excellent soldier content, with some views of combat after-action situations, particularly an ambushed German column and the pillaging of the dead. Destroyed Russian T-34's, Katyusha truck, lots of Panzer uniforms and more.Lastly, two large format portrait photos are in the back of the album, one depicts a Waffen-SS NCO and his girlfriend or wife, he wears the Army Flak Badge, the other is of an Army NCO.   The album is sound, no loose pages or photos.
