Original era manufacture. Were not quite sure what this well made tinnie honors, perhaps the unveiling of a monument to the famous regiment. It was one of only two regiments in the old army to wear the Mitre hat, the other being the 1st Garde Regiment of Foot. The badge is of stamped steel with a pinback reverse and measures 33x50 mm.
