Original era manufacture. Early production dagger with nickel fittings and a brown painted scabbard body. The blade is quite clean with nice motto contrast and displays the Bodenstein makers logo on its ricasso.. The grip is sound with a few small chips in the corners where it meets the upper and lower guard. Copper SA emblem with none of the enamel remaining, nickle eagle. All of the scabbard screws are intact, the ball tip is dented and there is surface bubbling to the paint on the obverse side of the scabbard. Scarce maker.
