Original era manufacture. Brass framed 6x30 Dienstglas used by all branches of the Wehrmacht in all theaters of WWII, and maker marked by Lietz-Wetzlar.The optics are very clear and are in proper collimation, with a range grid in the right lens, the individual focus eyepieces work properly. Attached to the body is an original leather neck strap with a leather eyepiece cover, and a leather button tab to attach the set to a uniform button. The binoculars are sound, show some wear to the imitation leather covering but nothing unusual for service used binoculars. There is a raised number on the right frame plate which begins with the letter "M" which may indicate Kriegsmarine use, as these binoculars were just sent to us by our friend in Norway. The black bakelite case is not cracked or broken, with only the tip of the closure strap being broken away, however the end piece is inside the case. The black leather belt loops are sound, as is the leather adjustable shoulder strap. This shoulder strap may be a period replacement, as it doesn't match color-wise to a separate leather connecting strap on the left side of the case.
