Original period manufacture. Olive brown wool felt body with a clear makers initials on the leather sweatband, JHS. On the underside of the sweatband it is size marked 57 and dated 42. The original chinstrap is intact, as are both original metal shields. The leather edge binding is scuffed in places but overall quite sound. A clean helmet overall which is not crushed or broken.
