Original era manufacture. Double marked Erel manufactured visor hat, just as honest as it can be, showing real service wear and use. Only moth spot is one small bite on the top piping. Full sweat diamond, ventilated wreath cockade, original eagle and chinstrap. This hat is one of a number of souvenirs brought home from WWII by Cpl Roy Altenbach, Ordnance Section, US Army. Never before in a collection. This hat has loads of character, in fact, you can see the mark where the officer's thumb was placed on the underside of the visor when he took it off and put it on. This hat was there. The piping dark green and the body field grayThe Piping and Cap band are dark green. The body is Field Gray.
