Original era manufacture. A good example of the classic WWII German officers visor hat, made by the famous firm of EREL.Doeskin feldgrau wool body with green wool piping and a dark green wool cap band. Scattered mothing to the body, and piping of the hat, yet it displays well and is complete with all fittings, including the EREL cockade ventilator Original bright aluminum cap eagle with all attaching prongs, correct aluminum wreath with a ventilated cockade. Correct type silver chincord,.The visor is intact and securely attached to the body. Pale gold silk cloth lining with the sweatshield remaining, EREL marked leather sweatband. Misshapen from improper storage, it reminds me a bit of the first German officer visor I purchased in 1971 from Gunsmoke Shop in Scottsdale Arizona...price $35.
