Original period manufacture. Issue quality, Artillery enlisted visor hat in very sound condition, with a great vintage look to it.Ribbed feldgrau wool top, with a dark green wool band and red wool piping throughout. No real moth issues to report beyond a single moth bite on the right rear edge of the hat body. The cloth is clean, and the colors are vibrant.Early style alloy cap wreath and cockade, with a period replaced bight aluminum cap eagle, which "snugs down" nicely into the cap body, looking like it has been there forever.Complete, orange cotton lining with a 100% intact sweat diamond. The brown leather sweatband is securing stitched to the body of the hat, with a makers name stamped into the underside.Complete with its original chinstrap and visor, both of which are securely attached to the body.
