German WWII Army Artillery Officers Visor Hat, Double Marked Erel

Original era manufacture. Officers quality wool visor hat in feldgrau with red wool piping and a dark green wool band. EREL style venitlator throught the cockade, aluminum eagle in place. There is a complete sweat diamond displaying the name KARL SIEBER and the EREL trademark. Another EREL marking may be seen on the sweatband. Overall the hat shows typical service wear and use, but with no real damage or staining. There are two pencil point moth bites in the cloth, one on the top and the other on the underside of the body, scattered surface mothing elsewhere. The sweatband is of tan imitation leather and shows wear in the front but is basically intact. A five inch section of the left rear sweatband needs to be tacked down. Honest, original hat showing typical soldier wear. Good research potential with the name in the lining.
