Original period manufacture. An issue quality Heer enlisted Infantry waffenrock which has been upgraded to that of an Administrative Official. The tunic is quite clean, the original issue markings are still to be seen on the inside of the tunic along with what we can only guess to be a former owners (likely a collector) name. All of the insignia matches, that is to say the cuff litzen are of the same pattern, as are the collar tabs and shoulder straps. The officers pattern eagle is handsewn with a imitation silk rectangle sewn to the inside of the lining to cover the threads. The collar tabs are machine sewn, the cuff litzen have been sewn by hand. The shoulder straps have been handsewn with the left shoulder example pulling out which does display the patina toning quite well. The tunic shows wear and age, no visible mothing, just a small nick in the collar material just behind the left collar tab. Loops for a ribbon bar and single badge on the left side. The upgrading of enlisted tunics was a common occurrence during the war, especially of expenisve to purchase waffenrocks. However we all are aware of postwar modifications as well. Tough to say on this one, but we'll default to postwar for accuracy sake. The tunic certainly does not appear to be thrown together, as previously stated all of the similar insignia match one another and there is a nice patina overall. I especially like the fact that the little cloth rectangle covering the interior threads of the tunic eagle was installed. Size about a 36 regular.
