Original era manufacture. An issue quality, enlisted visor hat, 50 mission crush, piped in golden yellow wool with an orange cotton lining and brown leather sweatband. Feldgrau wool top with a dark green wool cap band, Cavalry yellow wool piping. Ink stamped in the crown of the lining is size 55 1/2. On the underside of the sweatband is a very clear makers stamp and date of 1939. There are some areas of scattered mothing, not really detracting, typical with hats of this era. There is a nicely done moth repair on the top right of the hat. Overall a very sound example with an intact sweat shield .
