Original era manufacture. An honest example, recently purchased from the son of the GI who brought it home from WWII. Bright chrome finished blade measuring 9.75 inches in length, tip slightly blunted, with no corrosion issues. Clear Paul Seilheimer logo on the reverse ricasso. Sound black plastic grips, with a damage free guard and pommel. Black painted steel scabbard in original finish over which nearly 100% remains. Worn black patent leather frog with sound stitching. Wrapped around the waist of the frog is an original Wehrmacht Troddel, with triple-yellow trim, indicating the soldier's service if an Artilleryman, in 9th Battery, III Battalion, and if Infantry, 11th Company, III Battalion.
