Original era manufacture. Pebbled aluminum buckle with nice detail on the obverse and feldgrau paint on the reverse. Unit marked on the leather tab 2/J.R.10, dated 1937 and maker marked to Aurich of Dresden. The buckle has the Aurich maker mark under the leather tab and a matching date of 37. J.R. 10 formed part of the 9th Panzer Division during WWII and served with distinction on the Eastern Front and during the Allied break-out in Normandy in 1944. It fought at the Bulge and ended the war in the Ruhr Pocket. Nice honest buckle with a good history.
