Original era manufacture. Stamped steel buckle with a very dark ordnance gray paint finish. These are often referred to as Coastal Artillery buckles, perhaps so, however it is our opinion that these may also be merely a late war example of a Heer, or generic buckle worn by KM & Army troops alike. In any case it is a deeply struck example which retains most of its original finish.
