Original era manufacture. Purchased from the Niece of the GI who brought it home, is this standard issue German WWII leather enlistedservice belt with a pebbled aluminum Army buckle. On the belt at the time of our purchase, is an E.Pack & Sohne dress bayonet & frog. The leather belt is size marked 85, and displays an RB number and date of 1942. The surface has a nice black finish to it, and the white cotton top stitching is sound. There are two holes cut into its length, done perhaps by the GI to mount another of his souvenirs, now long gone. Standard stamped aluminum service buckle by R.S.&S., with traces of the feldgrau finish remaining on the interior, shows denting from wear and use. Chrome finished 10 inch blade, with the E.Pack logo on the ricasso. No corrosion issues, tip slightly blunted, slight bend to the blade at the base. Sound black plastic grips with chrome finished guard and pommel, green wool felt wedge in the stud slot. Service quality leather frogdisplaying surface drying with the stitching opening up at the center of the frog. The leather is very pliable, with no dry rot visible.
