Original period manufacture. Stamped steel buckle with near 100% of its original olive green paint remaining. Maker marked R. S & S on the reverse forward of the catch. Original sewn leather tab, maker marked and dated 1940, the longer half of the tab on the reverse, has been considerably shortened as shown.
