German WWII Army Enlisted M1936 Issue Overcoat

Original era manufacture. Light shade of feldgrau wool body with a dark green wool collar. All of the pebbled aluminum buttons are present with light wear to the buttonholes and gray cotton lining. The overcoat presents well, no noticeable moth damage, the colors are strong, and the small buttons in the rear skirt vent are present. On the left rear of the overcoat, is a replaced panel of a different shade of feldgrau, evidently a field repair done at a later date. The quality of the repair is quite good, and illustrates the Germans talent for repairing lightly damaged items for further use. Waste Not, Want Not.Included with the overcoat, and present at the time of our purchase, are a pair of slip-on, late production shoulder straps, piped in what looks to be Signal yellow, or perhaps merely yellowed Infantry piping. Overall a very sound example of an early production Heer Mantel, in a bout a size 40 regular.
