German WWII Army Enlisted Reed Green HBT Combat Tunic

Original era manufacture. Reed green cotton tunic with a woven herringbone design in the cloth. Six button front with four patch pockets, the buttons are secured with split-rings for easy removal for cleaning. Two aluminum belt support hooks at the waist, one on each side. Slip-on, late war pattern Infantry shoulder straps with imitation silk white piping. Machine sewn, BeVo weave, collar litzen, with a machine sewn late-war pattern M44 eagle over the right chest pocket.    Adjustable cuffs with two buttons, minimal lining in gray cotton without a bandage pouch. Size about a 38 regular. The coat exhibits wear and use, with color loss on the right sleeve at the rear shoulder, and less so near the cuff. There are a few minor wear holes in the fabric, nothing terrible. All of the original German size markings have long been laundered away, however, Russian costume house markings are clearly visible, giving mute testimony as to the former history of this coat prior to May 1945. If you are looking to do a rough & tumble uniform display, this one should fill the bill nicely.
