Original era manufacture. Clean, issue quality hat which is complete with its proper insignia and chinstrap. The sweat diamond is near complete, missing a small segment near the slot for the name tag. The hat body has a nice shape and is not crushed or distorted. There are a few very small moth bites, none more than a pencil point in size. The metal wreath and eagle are original examples but may have been replaced at some point in time as the pins penetrate the lining. A very sound example overall.
