Original era manufacture. An issue quality, Infantry branch, enlisted visor hat, with an orange cotton lining and brown leather sweatband. Very salty from honest service use, appearing as if it saw every day of WWII.  Feldgrau wool top with a green wool cap band, Infantry white wool piping.  On the underside of the sweatband is a unit stamp and date of 1939. The leather sweatband is securely attached to the cap body as is the visor, mothing on the top but really does not detract in my opinion, just a honest old warrior.
