Original era manufacture. An issue quality, Infantry branch, enlisted visor hat, with an orange cotton lining and brown leather sweatband. Feldgrau wool top with a green wool cap band, Infantry white wool piping. Ink stamped in the crown of the lining is size 57 1/2. On the underside of the sweatband is a very clear makers stamp and date of 1939. A very sound example overall, only flaw is that the upper portion of the sweat shield is missing.
