Original era manufacture. A complete example of the classic German Army helmet with a very nice original Heer pattern decal as shown.Original factory dark gray rough texture finish with three steel rivets securing the liner in place, no slot washers, each rivet has been touched up with a bit of black paint. The shell displays several .45 caliber bullet strikes on the surface; one directly below the left front rivet, and another above and to the right of the right front rivet.   Original WWII German leather liner, with a black shoestring as its adjusting string. The leather chinstrap is full length, with a gray painted steel adjusting buckle, the strap is broken on one side. In spite of its warts it still presents well.
