Original era manufacture. Classic WWII German Army steel helmet, maker and size marked EF66. Most of the original decal remains as shown, with a decided "gold" tint to the finish. Under magnification, the surface does indeed appear to be gold, however there are a few tiny strikes in the surface of the decal which show a silver backing which we feel indicates an Army, rather than Kriegsmarine helmet. Very nice original leather liner, in quite sound condition. No damage to the leather fingers, and the original adjusting string is present. Remnants of the original chinstrap as shown.
