Original period manufacture. No decal M1940 steel helmet with original paint, liner and chinstrap. Maker marked in the rear of the skirt Q66 with a lot number which may be DN408. The liner is size marked 58, with a date stamp on the underside of 8-43. All of the fingers are intact and the original drawstring is present. The liner is secured with three original rivets with slot washers, each fits tight and snug up against the helmet shell. Unbroken mid-war quality chinstrap in very sound condition. The helmet displays some minor staining to the liner from wear and use, the paint finish displays minor wear.
