Original era manufacture. Standard WWII Army M1942 steel helmet, we purchased at our last militaria show in Mesa. It has the look of spending the last several decades hanging in a garage or barn, as the helmet is covered inside and out in a fine layer of Arizona dust. We have not made any attempt to clean this up, even leaving the wire hanging loop attached to the right side chinstrap bale. The original liner band with felt lining remains in place, along with the three original securing rivets. Most of the original dark green paint remains beneath the dust coating, no dents, or large spots of corrosion. Brought home from WWII and hung on the wall. Skirts measure 9.5 inches across.
