Original era manufacture. Norwegian capture K98 rifle stock which comes complete with the following: laminate stock and upper handguard, upper and lower barrel bands, bayonet lug, band spring, recoil bolt and cupped butt plate. The serial number 111 can be seen on most of the components, in addition wo a waffenamt code of 655. Norwegian renumbered butt plate as usual, showing a different WWII German number as well. The stock is very clean with a nice color, with a dowel reinforcement in the bolt recess, and four additional dowel reinforcements in the wrist of the stock. There is a very thin, two inch split in the wood, on the top of the stock wrist, just behind the screw hole. Likely this stock would be fine for display, but you might look for another if you are considering shooting your K98.
