Original period manufacture. Chrome finished blade measuring nearly 35 inches in length with the Eickhorn trademark on the reverse ricasso. The blade is clean, straight with some scattered staining but no nicks, sharpening or corrosion issues. Just needs a light polish and it will brighten right up. Nickel finished guard and pommel with a black plastic covered grip with triple wire binding. Wrapped around the hilt is an original grey leather sword knot.The black painted steel scabbard is free of denting and retains over 90% of its original finish. Attached to the suspension ring is an interesting leather hanger which uses an Luftwaffe dagger hanger adjusting buckle and snaphook. Normal age and wear overall.
