Original period manufacture. All aluminum construction with nice detail to the eagle and wreath. Shows light age and wear with a mellow aluminum patina. I had the bright idea after Terri's photography efforts to dig through our pile of spare buckle clasps to see if one could be found to match this buckle. My efforts were successful, and now the buckle will come with a double prong attaching clasp for display. While not a perfect match, it's close enough.
