Original era manufacture. A clean example of the WWII German Army Officers sword made by firm of Eickhorn. The chrome finished steel blade measures 31 inches in length, runs straight and true, with no issues to the blade surface, beyond light staining from age. There are a few very shallow bumps in the blade edge, more felt than seen.Ornate, gilded brass guard and birdhead pommel. Black plastic wrapped grip, which is bound with triple strand wire, the lower band of which is loose. The guard has a bend near the top. Black painted steel scabbard which is dent-free, and displays a mix of steel patina finish and black painted surface.
