Original period manufacture. A very nice,early manufacture dagger with silvered fittings and a dark yellow grip. The dagger is complete with a set oforiginal hangers and properly tied silver wire knot, both are quite sound.The blade is very clean with a very clear Eickhorn trademark on the ricasso. No corrosion issues, with lots of original cross-grain polish visible. The dark yellow grips is free from major chips or cracking, just a few small chips to the central ridges of the grip on the reverse.The metal fittings display an nice even silver finish patina, with no denting to the scabbard body. A really nice example of the classic WWII German Army officers dagger.
