Original period manufacture. A very nice, early manufacture dagger with silvered fittings and a once yellow grip, now toning to a dark orange color. The dagger is complete with a set of original hangers and properly tied silver wire knot.The blade is clean with a very clear WKC trademark on the ricasso. No corrosion issues, with original cross-grain polish visible, scattered minor age spotting on each side.The are free from chips or cracking, with some fraying wear to the cord of the knot. The scabbard metal fittings display an nice even silver finish patina, with no denting to the scabbard body. A nice vintage looking example of the classic WWII German Army officers dagger.
