Original era manufacture. Another fine condition dagger from an old Arizona collection. Issue free, bright and clean blade with a very nice contrast with the Eickhorn trademark on the ricasso. Minor runner wear to the surface, otherwise crossgrain polish everywhere, with a needle-sharp point.Early quality silvered alloy guard and pommel, with a dark orange grip, and an original silver wire knot in proper tie. The grip is free from cracks, although there is a very small chip in the central ridge decoration, which corresponds to a touch of wear in the surface of the dagger knot cord, clearly some minor incident occurred here in the past.The dent free silver alloy scabbard has a nice silver patina finish which matches the guard and pommel perfectly. These early production Army daggers are really a delight, wonderful manufacture and craftsmanship.
