Original era manufacture. Bright and clean 32 inch blade with a chrome finish, clear Eickhorn trademark on the ricasso, and no nicks or sharpening in evidence.Elaborately cast guard and pommel, with a Leopard head design, fitted with red glass eyes. Black plastic wrapped grip which is bound with triple strand aluminum wire. A portion of one of the untwisted wires is missing, although hard to notice.Wrapped around the guard is an original gray leather, with silver wire trim, Army sword knot.Dent free, black painted steel scabbard. Both of the throat screws are present, and a period suspension strap is attached to the carrying ring. The paint finish is quite nice, but I feel it has been redone at sometime in the past, very probably many years ago, as this sword was part of a longtime local Arizona collection.
