Original era manufacture. Very clean 33.25 inch plated finish steel blade, running straight and true with no corrosion issues. There is a makers mark under the langet but we cannot make it out. Ornate gilded brass guard and backstrap with a lionhead pommel displaying red glass eyes. Minor distortion to the guard. Black plastic grip bound with triple strand wire, some of the binding wire have moved out of position, but only a few. Original gray knot wrapped around the hilt, with one side of the strap broken. Original finish steel scabbard retaining 90% of the black paint finish. Original finish black painted steel scabbard with about 70% of the paint remaining, small dent at the drag. The scabbard throat and retention screws are intact.
