Original era manufacture. Standard WWII German Army Officers sword with a lion headed pommel and red glass eyes. The chrome finished steel blade measures 34 inches in length, runs straight and true, with no issues to the blade surface, beyond some light scattered surface staining.Ornate, brass guard and lionhead pommel with red glass eyes, toned brass patina finish at present. Black plastic wrapped grip, which is bound with triple strand wire; the upper four bands of wiring consist of two strands each. Black painted steel scabbard which is dent-free, and displays a mix of steel patina and original black painted finish.
