Original period manufacture. Doeskin wool feldgrau top with lemon yellow piping and a dark green wool band. Aluminum cap eagle and a replaced, but original, bullion wreath with metal cockade.The lining is complete and shows honest wear, more or less intact sweatshield with a gilt painted makers logo beneath.The edges ofthe shield have broken away in spots. The wide real leather sweatband is intact and securely sewn to the body of the hat, makers logo impressed into one side. There is some scattered mothing to the piping, body and band, however the hat still displays well and is a bit more difficult to find branch of service piping. Size is about a 56.
