Original era manufacture. Alcoso manufactured, unattributed pattern Army officers sword, brought home by T-3 John P. Rodrigues, Company A, 136th Maintenance Company, 14th Armored Division. The chromed steel blade measures 31.5 inches in length, running straight and true with no issues; bright and clean throughout.The leather bumper is in place at the base of the blade, nicely decorated guard, pommel & backstrap. Black plastic wrapped grip which is bound with triple strand wire.Wrapped around the grip is the original officers quality sword knot which was on the sword at the time of our purchase. It displays age and wear with a repair on one section of the strap.Dent-free black painted steel scabbard which retains 90% of its original painted finish.A very clean example of a German Army officers sword, purchased from the veterans family.
