Original era manufacture. Plated steel blade measuring 31 inches in length with no corrosion issues. Running fairly straight and true with a slight drift to the right about 8 inches back from the point. Ornate gilded aluminum dove-head guard with crossed swords on the right side langet. This being an example of Eickhorn's Nr 1715 model, it also has a Heer pattern eagle and swastika on the pommel. Black plastic bound grip which is wrapped with triple strand aluminum wire. Dent free black painted steel scabbard which retains nearly all of it's original finish. Overall the sword is very clean and tight, only the ferrule is a bit loose. A solid original example, which some knowledgeable online sources rate as a quite scarce model.
