Original era manufacture. A clean example of the WWII German Army Officers sword. The polished steel blade measures 33 inches in length, runs fairly straight and true, with a very slight drift to the left along it's length. No issues to the blade surface, beyond light staining from age. There are a few very shallow bumps in the blade edge, more felt than seen.Ornate, gilded brass guard with a birdhead pommel. Black plastic wrapped grip, which is bound with single strand wire. Black paint finish to the dent-free steel scabbard, with nearly all of the finish intact. Both throat screws are present. Black painted steel scabbard which is dent-free, and displays a mix of steel patina finish and black painted surface.
