Original era manufacture. Chrome finish steel blade measuring 33 inches in length, runs fairly straight and true, especially considering the curvy scabbard. No major corrosion issues, few small spots where the plating is lifting, with some scattered nail-catchers in the edge. Herm.Rath Solingen on the blade. Dark brass patina finish to the guard, black plastic wrapped wooden grip which is bound with triple strand wire. Thin crack in the plastic below the pommel. Black painted steel scabbard which retains about 70% of it's original finish. There are numerous little bends in the scabbard, remarkable really, yet the sword blade can be inserted and drawn pretty easily
