Original period manufacture. Army issue enlisted sword for cavalry and mounted artillery use, 34 inch polished steel blade running straight and true. Simple brass guard, pommel and backstrap with a black plastic wrapped grip bound with two strands of twisted brass wire. Nice condition blue steel finished scabbard with a few shallow surface dents along its length. The sword is maker marked and waffenamt proofed on the scabbard throat and underside of the guard, AC/G 2775, with the G indicating a manufacture year of 1935. The leather finger loop is present but torn. Very sound condition.
