Original era manufacture. Doeskin feldgrau wool top with a dark green wool band, piped in light blue for Transportation or Supply troops. Complete imitation silk lining with an intact sweatshield showing the EREL logo. Simple gray leather sweatband which shows two age splits in the band. The body shows moth crazing to its surface with only two moth holes which we noticed. One small one on the top itself and a large one on the unders side of the top, that one's hard to see. Ventilated EREL pattern cockade and wreath. At the time of our purchase the visor was loose and my brother Jack did an excellent job on the restitching.
