Original era manufacture. A bit of a variant to the commonly seenVeterans (or sometimes referred to as NSKOV)eagle. This example is larger, with a nicer finish of frosted silver with apolished or plated swastika. Pinback reverse which is maker marked 8, and Ges.Gesch. Light age and wear. While doing some online research regarding this eagle, I came upon a listing on WAF, were a discussion was being made concerning the gilt, Naval variant of this eagle. That organization was referred to as the NSDMB, National Socialist German Navy League (Deutscher Marine-Bund). Ok, I suppose this then would be the Army pattern of same. In any case, it's very well made, and certainly less common than the standard style eagle.
