Original era manufacture. We recently purchased a small grouping of original WWII manufactured Elastolin toy soldiers. They were brought to the USA by a returning GI who served on the staff of Stars & Stripes. Over 40 years ago they were given to a 10 year old boy as playthings. This young man appreciated these little soldiers to such a degree that instead of playing with them, he packed them away for safekeeping. The toys are in remarkable condition, nearly new in most cases with original paint and weapons. Some even have traces of their original wrapping tissue stuck to their sufaces. There is some evidence of age to be sure; minor corrosion of the interior frame from moisture and storage for the past 65 plus years and some minor chipping on several figures. However they are in amazing condition for their age. This particular figure represents a kneeling artilleryman next to a wicker basket of shells. Late war dark brown uniform paint, near new condition. Scarce figure, good for display with a variety of tin-plate toys. We have two available, one with a brown helmet and the other with green. Sold by the one.
