Original era manufacture. Now here is a ghost out of a damp old barn or cellar. Even steel patina overall, with hints of the green factory paint remaining. Yet amazingly, the very visible remnants of a Waffen-SS decal remain on the right side, allowing us a glimpse as to the helmet's former service. The helmet is very sound, no flaking or chipping to the surface, the liner band is intact with all three rivets with slot washers in place, the chinstrap loops move freely. No need for a panel of experts to determine it's authenticity, the helmet speaks for itself.
