German WWII Civil Police Helmet, Complete

Original era manufacture. Steel helmet with a black painted finish, strong Police pattern eagle decal on the left side, with a national decal on the right, which has been "touched up" at some point in the past, perhaps even during the era. Complete leather liner and pliable leather chinstrap, with a  white numeral "4" painted on the inside of the rear neckskirt. Evidence on the top of the helmet of once being fitted with an aluminum comb, which was removed with the holes plugged and painted over. An interesting helmet which has seen obvious use during WWII.
