Original era manufacture. I believe this to be a commercial scope rather than a military one. The tube and mounts have a blue steel finish, showing scattered wear, and some light corrosion pitting near the eyepiece. The optics are very clear, showing a single vertical post flanked by two matching horizontal posts. Brass trimming atboth ends of the tube, and a brass band towards the eyepiece end. No markings to be seen, only a serial numberon the base of the adjusting knob on the top of the tube, 41519.Brought home after WWII by a US Army officer who served with the 282nd Combat Engineers.
