Original era manufacture. A commercial grade example by Paul Weyersberg & Co., without any military proofs. These were made and sold to other orginizations needing bayonets for their rifles. This is a later war example as milling marks may be seen on the blade and the overall finish is not as crisp as the pre war examples. Nice dark red bakelite grips. Pleasing mix of blue and steel patina to the metal surfaces, the blade retains nearly all of its original finish. Serial numbver on one side of the ricasso with PAUL WEYERSBERG & CO. SOLINGEN appearing on the other. The scabbard is dent free and is completely unmarked. Nice clean bayonet.
