Original era manufacture. Fine quality, feldgrau gabardine wool four pocket tunic in a size 38. Dark green wool collar with original machine sewn Panzer piped collar litzen, original sewn Panzer Leutnant shoulder straps, and a very nice hand sewn Heer pattern officers eagle. Six, feldgrau painted button front closure, with the ribbon for the Ost Front medal stitched through the second button hole. Loops for a single badge on the left front pocket, and small ribbon bar above. This is a summer wear tunic, as the lining has been kept to a minimum, just some reinforcing in the shoulder area, and a white cloth lining in each sleeve. Cut-out for a sword or dagger hanger strap on the left side, but no evidence of a suspension strap ever having been installed. The inside left pocket has a very clear tailor's label from the firm Gebrs. Gerlach in Utrecht (Netherlands), along with the officers name Ltn Kramer and date of 1944. The tunic is happily free of any major moth issues. I found one small bite under the left arm and a few few more tiny bites on the rear skirt. Fading is visible on the entire body of the coat when you lift up a pocket edge, or roll back the cuff end. You can tell that at one time an Iron Cross 1st Class adorned the left upper pocket as it's outline is quite visible. Overall this fading is very even and in our opinion is not a major detraction, fabric dyes at this stage of the War, especially for civilian use, would likely not have been of the best quality. An honest example of a German officers uniform coat produced in occupied Holland during WWII.*Please note, in our photos, the piping appears orange, this is note the case, it is very definitely pink.
